Enjoy a catered lunch in the Welcome Center. Then, step back in time at the Heritage Farm Museum and Village for a fun-filled, educational and relaxing experience. See life as it was in Appalachia from the 1800’s through the early 1900’s.
Journey through history with a guided tour through three museums.
- The Transportation & Mill Museum has covered wagons to early automobiles.
- In the Progress Museum witness the dramatic changes made in the home during the 1800’s and early 1900’s.
- In the Country Store see the daily activities of the economic center of the village.
On the way home, we will stop by Huntington’s Ritter Park Rose Garden. This 70 year old rose garden houses around 2,000 bushes and is noted for its All-American Rose selections.
*Location is ADA accessible. Bus does not have wheelchair lift. Can stow wheelchair in cargo if person can get on and off bus.
